  • The HarvestCall Proclaim & Serve missions conference is this Saturday at Roanoke church. For more information and to register, please see proclaimandserve.org.
  • Next Sunday is our collection for Casa Vida y Esperanza (CVE), the children's home and school in Magdalena, Mexico. They currently have needs for a multi-use field for the school as well as updated security cameras. Along with checks or cash, contributions may also be made on the church online giving page.
  • The annual shrub trimming at church is planned for Saturday, July 18, beginning at 8:00 am. Please use this link to sign up for help with the trimming or morning break.
  • There will be an all-church pulled pork supper and singing at 5:00 pm at the Fellowship Hall after the baptisms on July 19. Please sign up on the sheets under the women's bulletin board so the committee can get an accurate number for planning. Use this link to help with food. If you have any questions, contact Sis.   • The Single Group is hosting an Essentials Drive for the Forrest Food Pantry on Saturday, July 25 from 8:00–11:00 am at the Forrest Post Office. Please contact Bro. Nolan Zimmerman or Sis. Lynette Edelman with any questions.
  • On Wednesday evening, July 29, Bro. Jason will have an exhortation on "Regeneration and Membership." Please make every effort to attend. It will not be a member meeting.
  • Santos Lopez has moved from Bastrop, TX and is making Forrest his church.

  • Our Adult Bible Class for any non-members will be next Sunday at 10:00 am in the Conference Room at church.
  • There is a Local Outreach opportunity to help move a single mother on Saturday, July 4 starting at 8:00 am. Please use this SignUpGenius link for more information and to sign up. The link is also included in the church calendar entry. Contact Bro. Tyler Edelman with any questions.
  • Registration continues for the 2026 General Conference in Ellington on Saturday, August 8 and is now open for the Goodfield satellite location.
  • The new Conference room and Sunday School Assembly room are available for use by the members of Forrest. There is a calendar on the church website to check availability. Please contact Bro. Kent and Sis. Bethany Edelman with any questions.

  • All members and converts are encouraged to hear the reading of the Memorandum this Wednesday evening. It is not a member meeting, and everyone is welcome to attend. Elder Bro. Dan Kilgus from Remington plans to be with us. It will be streamed live for those who cannot attend in person.
  • Fairview Haven is hosting a Mission In Action Field Day on Saturday from 4:00-7:00 pm. Guided tours will begin every half hour, with a meal to follow.
  • Next Sunday is our turn for services at Fairview Haven. Please check the lists on the men's and women's bulletin boards for your turn; if you are unable to go on your Sunday, please find a replacement to help with singing and fellowship.
  • Thank you to Sis. Jessica Edwards for the last six years spent teaching and loving our second grade children in Sunday School.
  • We are thankful that Mason Gerdes and Clay Rieger are repenting. We encourage the church to provide active support and guidance through this time.

  • Please come in person Wednesday evening to hear Elder Bro. Craig Stickling speak on ‘Godly Parenting: Healthy Communication with our Young Adult Children’.
  • Bro. Ted’s rotation to Prescott, AZ has been postponed until December 27 since Sis. Teresa is still healing from her cancer surgery and is not yet able to travel.
  • Next Sunday is our collection for the Silver Lining. The suggested donation per subscription is $25. Along with checks or cash, contributions may also be made on the church online giving page. To begin or discontinue receiving the Silver Lining or make any changes to your mailing address, please contact Sis. Marsha Lanz or Sis. Denise Coffey.
  • Fairview Haven invites you to a Mission In Action Field Day on Saturday, June 27 from 4:00-7:00 pm. Come experience firsthand how their ministry is growing and how these developments are strengthening the mission of care and service. Guided tours will begin every half hour, starting at the Maintenance Shed. A meal will be provided following the tour, with a freewill donation appreciated. Any questions can be directed to Bro. Dave Blunier.
  • Anyone who is interested is invited to attend the 10th Annual Haiti Dairy Benefit dinner on Saturday, June 27. It will be held at Bro. Art & Sis. Marlene Mueller’s barn beginning at 1:00 pm. For more information and to register by June 20, please see the HarvestCall website.

  • The Gateway Woods benefit auction is Saturday, August 1 with the online auction starting Wednesday, July 29. Any auction items or cash donations should be given to Bro. Clay or Sis. Kate Zimmerman by July 12. Checks may be made out to Gateway Woods. They are also looking for volunteers for the day of the sale, so if you are willing to help please use this link.
  • In an effort to have more people attend the General Conference in community this year on Saturday, August 8, the ACCA Conference National Planning Committee has decided to host a central Illinois satellite location in Goodfield. Those Illinois brothers, sisters, and converts who are not able to attend the live event in Ellington, CT are invited and encouraged to attend the live-stream of the conference in Goodfield. With the one-hour time difference between Connecticut and Illinois, the live-stream of the conference at the Goodfield satellite location will begin at 7:45 am and end at 2:30 pm. A registration link to sign up and attend the Goodfield satellite location will be available on June 28 through July 20. In order to host this satellite location, one hundred individuals will need to be registered, and attendance will be limited to three hundred. Sign-up will be on a first-come, first-serve basis. The Goodfield satellite location is being hosted by the Congerville and Eureka church congregations, using the facilities of the Goodfield church. If this option works for you, please sign up as soon as the registration link becomes available on June 28.

  • In two weeks on June 21, it is our turn for services in Prescott, AZ. Bro. Ted plans to go.
  • The Spring Memorandum will be read Wednesday, June 24. Elder Bro. Dan Kilgus is planning to be with us. All members and converts are encouraged to make plans to attend.
  • The Silver Lining periodically features an article selected from readers' submissions. The September 2026 topic is: “Spiritual Lessons from Seasoned Brethren: Relate how experienced believers’ examples have enhanced your focus on biblical living in the Spirit.” Please send questions or your contributions (600 words or less) to features@acsilverlining.org by July 15. More information is also posted on the bulletin boards.
  • Sister Heart will be held in Canaan, OH the weekend of August 15-16. For more information or questions, please see the message sent to the Women’s Outreach GroupMe or Sis. Abby Eisenmann.
  • A new Jobs section has been added to AC Central with the latest update of the app. For a fee, employers can post jobs to reach all registered users. Job seekers can filter openings by location, job type, industry, pay, etc. and set up notifications. This service was created in response to requests from the Brotherhood.
  • There is an opportunity for a small team of 6-8 people to help with some clean up projects in Altadena, CA June 22-26 and July 6-10. Contact information for Bro. Mike and Sis. Susie Zobrist went out with the emailed announcements.
  • Lord willing, we are planning testimonies and baptisms the weekend of July 18-19 for Brock Schmidgall, River Leman, and Roman Mueller.
  • This Wednesday evening, there will be a shortened service followed by a member meeting. This meeting could be 20-25 minutes.
