- Message from the Trustees: At the Business Meeting in January, we approved the Sunday School and conference room project with a budget of $350,000. Much of this project has now been completed, and we have not yet taken a collection for it. Approximately $50,000 is still needed in the Building Fund to complete the project. According to our longstanding church bylaws, the Building Fund is used only for projects specifically approved by the membership, such as the sprinkler project, the sanctuary project, and the Sunday School project. Other projects undertaken by the trustees are funded through the General Fund. At this time, approximately $50,000 is also needed in the General Fund for several smaller but important projects, including parking lot repairs, exterior door improvements, and potential security enhancements. The trustees would also like to make the church aware of a recent incident involving fraudulent activity related to a vendor payment, which resulted in a loss of nearly $33,000. Immediate interim measures have been implemented to help prevent a recurrence, and Bro. Tyler Edelman, as church treasurer, is working to establish additional safeguards to strengthen our financial controls. There is more information about this incident and the additional safeguards posted on both bulletin boards. Any donations toward either the Building Fund or the General Fund may be made online or placed in the General Fund box, with any Building Fund contributions clearly marked. Please contact any of the trustees with questions.
