- The visitation for Bro. Ron Mueller is Monday, Nov. 4 from 2:00-8:00 pm at the Fairbury Fellowship Hall. The funeral will be on Tuesday morning at 10:00 am. Please check the SignUp list for any help still needed.
- The Apostolic Christian HarvestCall benefit auction for Hospital Lumiere is planned for this Friday, Nov. 8 at The Water Tower in Gridley. The meal begins at 4:00 pm, and the live auction begins at 6:00 pm. This annual benefit is a critical part of Hospital Lumiere's support. Please contact Bro. Matt or Sis. - Next Sunday is our collection for Haiti/Lifeline orphanage. While we are not currently able to send any work teams, they still need funds for food, school supplies, and other miscellaneous immediate needs.
- The HarvestCall winter work project will be rebuilding and repairing homes around Jasper, Texas. Forty volunteers are needed each week between January 12 and March 28, 2025. Registration begins at noon Central Time on Wednesday, Nov. 20. Additional information is available on the HarvestCall website.
- The sanctuary project committee shared an update after church. Ballots and pledge forms will be mailed to each member this week, and the committee is requesting that they be returned to church or Bro. Paul by December 8.

- Additional help is needed for extra clothes sorting tomorrow morning from 9:00-11:00 at the HarvestCall Distribution Center. This is for a load going to the Navajos in November. If you have any questions, please see Bro. Larry or Sis. Shirley Ifft.
- We will be reading the Fall Memorandum this Saturday beginning at 7:00 pm. The Memorandum is a primary way for the elder body to share timely and relevant topics and messages with the church. Please be prayerful that the communication will be Biblical, clear, and meaningful. The Fairbury congregation will be with us.
- The Fairview Haven benefit dinner is this Friday from 4:00 to 7:00 pm, and volunteers are still needed for both food (signup link) and help (signup link) at the benefit. The online auction begins tomorrow and closes on Thursday evening.
- There will be a meeting after church next Sunday to share progress and next steps for the sanctuary project.

- Next Sunday is our turn for services at Fairview Haven. Please check the lists on the men's and women's bulletin boards for your turn; if you are unable to go on your Sunday, please find a replacement to help with singing and fellowship.
- Next Sunday, it is our turn for services in Athens, AL. Bro. Paul is planning to go.
- There will be a sign-up sheet under the women's bulletin board for the next two weeks with a need for 6 couples to help with the all-church Chili Supper and Christmas singing. This is a two-year commitment. Please contact Sis. Paulette Zimmerman with any questions.
- Sign-up continues for the 2025 all-church rotating potluck. Anyone interested in joining, continuing, or dropping out should fill out a sign-up form, located under either bulletin board or on the church website by next Sunday, October 27. Please contact Bro. - On Wednesday evening, Nov. 13, Bro. Jason will have an exhortation on "Reflecting Christ." Please make every effort to attend. It will not be a member meeting.

- This Wednesday, we will begin a four-week study through the book of 1 John.
- In two weeks, on October 27, it is Forrest's turn for services in Athens, AL. Bro. Paul is planning to go.

- Item donations are needed for Hospital Lumiere's virtual benefit auction planned for Thursday, October 31 through Saturday, November 2. Auction items should be delivered to Gridley by October 25. - Tomorrow is clothes sorting and comforter knotting at the HarvestCall Distribution Center beginning at 9:00 am.
- Next Sunday will be a regular collection for HarvestCall. This includes our collection for the local work projects and the HarvestCall Distribution Center.
- There is an all-church potluck and singing planned for Sunday, October 20. Signup sheets are under the women's bulletin board for anyone planning to help or attend.
- It is time to sign up for the 2025 all-church rotating potluck. Anyone interested should fill out a new sign-up form, located under either bulletin board or on our church website. Those wishing to no longer participate should still complete a form indicating they would like to drop out, so the coordinators know that it is not an oversight. - The Silver Lining periodically features articles selected from readers' submissions. The January 2025 topic is: "How has God blessed you through working everyday miracles in your own and/or others' lives (Acts 2:22)?"
